MONROE COUNTY, Michigan — A 50-year-old man died Saturday after being struck by a falling tree during a residential tree removal job in Monroe Township.
The fatal incident happened around 7:05 p.m. in the area of Timber Lane near South Dixie Highway, according to Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough. Three workers from the Dayton, Ohio area had been hired to remove a tree at a residence.
