A high-tech survey of the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway will shut that structure down to all traffic during the overnight hours Monday into Tuesday.
A crew will use lidar — pulsed laser beams — to create a digital map of the bridge that will show how it responds to controlled vibrations. The resulting data will become a baseline against which similar surveys of the bridge at regular future intervals will be compared.
