TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo Humane Society handles about two thousand cases of abuse and neglect every year and turning the story around for those animals is made possible by donations large and small. The rescue has a big fundraiser this week that will help continue that life-saving work.
The humane society helps make new beginnings possible for thousands of animals every year. Shelter staff and volunteers are now caring for dozens of dogs who were surrendered after being found living in what cruelty investigators describe as deplorable conditions.
