The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has reported an outbreak of a rare gastrointestinal disease not native to the country.
There’s been a rise in cyclosporiasis cases, an intestinal illness caused by the parasite cyclospora cayetanensis, which differs from other gastrointestinal illnesses, health leaders said on Wednesday.
