Adrian Township oil well leak under cleanup, officials report no threat to public

ADRIAN TWP. — An oil well leak in Adrian Township is being cleaned up after it was reported on the afternoon of Friday, June 12.

Lenawee County Emergency Management Director Craig Tanis told the county’s Local Emergency Planning Committee there was no imminent threat to public safety.

He went on to say that the state environmental agency EGLE and an environmental contractor responded to begin cleanup and remediation.
