Toledo man accused of U-Haul chase now charged for allegedly trapping disabled residents inside home

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo man accused of leading officers on a chase in a U-Haul truck in December is facing new charges for allegedly trapping three developmentally disabled people inside a home, according to Toledo police.

Rodney Coley, 36, allegedly showed up to a residence on July 13 claiming to be the owner of the property, TPD said. Coley told the three residents they would have to leave, according to officers.

Before leaving the property, police say Coley screwed the front door shut and broke the locks off of other doors, trapping the developmentally disabled residents inside the home, including one who is also blind, police said…
