TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Officials are warning the public about individuals who are attempting to solicit money through a telephone scam in Lucas County. According to county officials, the scam involves individuals who are pretending to represent the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas and the Lucas County Clerk of Courts. They then attempt to solicit money over the telephone by saying costs and fines need to be paid to their offices.
