Man shot outside Gino’s Pizza after intervening in domestic dispute

A 36-year-old man was shot in the foot Tuesday evening during an apparent altercation outside a West Toledo restaurant, authorities said.

Police said they found Justin Snyder suffering from the gunshot wound outside Original Gino’s Pizza, 3981 Monroe St., just after 5:30 p.m.

The victim, who authorities identified as homeless, had apparently tried to intervene in a “domestic situation” and was shot by the male participant, who fled before police arrived, a report said.

Mr. Snyder was taken to nearby ProMedica Toledo Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
