Search warrants lead to drug bust, ‘ghost gun’ seized in Lenawee County

LENAWEE CO., Mich. (WILX) – An investigation is underway after Michigan State Police executed two search warrants that resulted in a drug bust in Lenawee County on Friday.

On April 10, detectives assigned to the Region of Irish Hills Narcotics Office executed two search warrants in the 500-600 block of East Maumee Street in Adrian.

Authorities said the searches led to the seizure of various narcotics in amounts consistent with distribution. Investigators also recovered packaging materials, digital scales, cash and two firearms equipped with high-capacity magazines.

Police said one of the weapons was identified as a “ghost gun,” an assembled firearm with an obliterated serial number. Further examination determined it had been modified with a forced reset trigger, allowing it to operate as a fully automatic firearm…
