TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – TPD officers say a suspect who was under arrest for an alleged assault attacked officers to escape from their custody while still in handcuffs Wednesday morning.
Detectives say Angelo Walker, 25, of Toledo, punched a woman he knows in the head. Officers handcuffed walker and tried placing him into the prisoner compartment of the police cruiser.
Police records say walker then used his head to strike both officers, spit on them and then tried running away. He was eventually recaptured and booked into the Lucas County Jail on a series of charges…
