LENAWEE CO. — The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about an ongoing phone scam that has already cost victims several thousand dollars.
Investigators say callers are spoofing the names and phone numbers of financial institutions to appear legitimate. Victims are then pressured into giving personal and banking information.
