A Toledo city councilman has proposed extending a moratorium on demolition permits for historic buildings after Toledo Public Schools announced its intention to close several buildings.
“I want to make sure, specifically, Harvard [Elementary School], that I’m doing everything I can to ensure that building gets stabilized and saved for whether it’s a school or a different purpose,” said Councilman Adam Martinez, who represents District 2.
