Tayler Biehl is the 8th former Arizona Wildcat to make an AUSL roster in 2026
Tayler Biehl has long-term plans of becoming a nurse. That doesn’t mean the former Arizona softball shortstop can’t spend some time this summer playing in the AUSL. Biehl was announced as the latest addition to the Utah Talons out of the reserve pool on Sunday afternoon.
Biehl spent four years at Arizona, primarily patrolling shortstop. Her range and athletic plays earned her Pac-12 co-Defensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore in 2024. It was one of many honors she earned during her time as a Wildcat, despite being mostly a glove-first player for most of her time in Tucson.
As a freshman, Biehl was a bit of a Swiss Army knife for head coach Caitlin Lowe. The team suffered numerous injuries in 2023, so Biehl not only played shortstop, but she also took over right field at times and was the back-up catcher.
