TUCSON, ARIZONA (Aug. 26, 2026) — The City of Tucson is seeking construction bids for a major widening and reconstruction project along Silverbell Road between El Camino del Cerro and Goret Road.
The City issued Invitation for Bid No. 270146 on August 19 for approximately 3.27 miles of roadway improvements. The work includes 2.63 miles of Silverbell Road, extending from about one-quarter mile north of El Camino del Cerro to approximately 0.2 mile north of Goret Road, along with improvements to portions of El Camino del Cerro and Sweetwater Drive.
Plans call for construction of four travel lanes with medians, curbs and sidewalks, a multi-use path, traffic signals, street lighting, landscaping and irrigation, utility improvements and new drainage facilities.
