The restaurateurs behind Tacos Chiwas are preparing to expand beyond metro Phoenix for the first time with a brand-new concept in Tucson.
According to Phoenix New Times, restaurateurs Nadia Holguin and Armando Hernandez are developing Tortillas Chiwas at 914 N. Grande Ave. in Tucson’s Barrio Hollywood neighborhood. Hernandez told Whatnow Phoenix there is no timeline for an opening yet.
While the couple recently expanded their Arizona presence with a forthcoming Tacos Chiwas location at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s Terminal 4, Tortillas Chiwas appears to be an entirely new concept focused on fresh tortilla production and a chef-driven dining experience…
