Vice Grip Garage truck raises $38K for Tulsa Mayfest at Capital Cruise auction

TULSA, Okla. – A custom 1971 Ford F-100 restored by Vice Grip Garage founder Derek Bieri sold for $38,000 Friday night during the Capital Cruise auction, with all proceeds benefiting Tulsa Mayfest.

Bieri, the grand marshal for Capital Cruise, spent the past several months restoring the truck as part of Tulsa’s Route 66 Centennial celebration. The auction was held during the Capital Cruise Tailgate.

“From the moment I laid eyes on this rig, a guy knew it was perfect to bring to Tulsa for Capital Cruise,” Bieri said. “When I heard about Tulsa Mayfest, I was thrilled to do a small part in supporting such a great event. It means so much that Vice Grip Garage will always be connected to such a historic organization.”…
