Broken Arrow plans to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with time capsule, concert and fireworks

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Broken Arrow will mark America’s 250th birthday Tuesday with an evening of ceremonies, live music and fireworks centered around preserving the city’s history for future generations.

The celebration begins at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park, where city leaders, the Daughters of the American Revolution and community members will honor veterans before dedicating a time capsule that will remain sealed for the next 25 years.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park, 1111 S. Main St., with a dedication ceremony led by the Daughters of the American Revolution and city officials.

During the ceremony, two park benches will be dedicated in honor of the nation’s veterans at one of Broken Arrow’s most scenic locations.
