TULSA, Okla. – EMSA has issued its first Medical Heat Alert of 2026 after paramedics responded to multiple suspected heat-related illness calls in the Tulsa area on Tuesday.
As of 3 p.m. June 30, EMSA medics had responded to five suspected heat-related illness calls and transported three patients to local hospitals, meeting the agency’s threshold for issuing a Medical Heat Alert.
So far this month, EMSA has responded to 55 heat-related illness calls in the Tulsa area, with 34 patients transported to hospitals because of heat-related complications…
