Brice’s Coffee & Bake House

Thanks to Brice’s Coffee and Bake House, locals can find flavors from South Africa without ever leaving Tulsa. Since 2024, owners Sean and Olivia Brice have been serving up scrumptious pastries using the same recipes from their former location in Port Elizabeth. From custard-filled cruffins (croissant muffins) to ubuntu bars, Brice’s offers plenty of options to pair with your coffee of choice. You can find Brice’s in south Tulsa and in midtown.

Mixy Bites

Filipino-owned Mixy Bites in Broken Arrow offers the perfect treat to cool down in the Oklahoma heat: halo-halo, the most popular drink of the Philippines. Especially drank in the summertime to combat soaring temps, this sweet, icy-cold beverage is both beautiful and refreshing. In Tagalog, halo means “mix,” which is what you’re meant to do to the colorful, distinctive layers of shaved ice, condensed milk, candies of different sizes and textures, jellied coconut strips and sweetened red bean topped with flan and ube ice cream. Mixy Bites makes the delicious, deep purple ube ice cream in-house, and we highly recommend trying it on its own (as well as the flan!) before mixing everything together for a truly unique and delicious dessert experience…
