GLENPOOL, Okla. — The City of Glenpool finally got to celebrate the Fourth of July on Friday night after severe weather delayed the community’s original holiday plans.
Residents gathered at a new location at 1122 E. 156th Street South for the annual “Red, White & Boom Bash,” which pulled double duty as a belated Independence Day celebration and a tribute to America’s 250th birthday. Despite the delay and the venue change, city officials and attendees agreed the festival was well worth the wait.
“We’re excited tonight to come out, have some great music, great vendors, lots of people out here selling some stuff for us and at the end of the night some great fireworks,” Glenpool City Manager David Tillotson said ahead of the display…
