TU program introduces students to healthcare careers amid projected workforce shortages

TULSA, Okla. — As healthcare workforce shortages are expected to continue growing in the coming years, the University of Tulsa is working to introduce more students to careers in the field before they reach college.

Through the STRETCHED program, which stands for Students Reaching Excellence Through Collaboration with Higher Education, high school students in grades 9 through 12 are getting the opportunity to explore a variety of healthcare professions through hands-on experiences, mentorship and career guidance.
