Kenosha street reopens following gas leak in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – All lanes of Kenosha Street, also known as 71st Street, are back open between Yellowood Avenue and Butternut Avenue following a gas leak.

Oklahoma Natural Gas said a third-party contractor struck a natural gas line near 71st in Tulsa.

“Safety is our top priority, so we want to remind everyone that if they have a natural gas emergency or smell natural gas, they should leave the area immediately and then call 911 and 800-458-4251. In addition, they should call 811 or submit a line locate request at OKIE811.org at least 48 hours before starting any digging project, excluding the date of notification, weekends and holidays.”
