Bank of America donates $480,000 to Tulsa area nonprofits

TULSA, Okla. — Bank of America donated $480,000 to Tulsa area nonprofits in 2023.

Bill Lissau, the Tulsa and Oklahoma Market President for Bank of America, said since 2018, they’ve given almost $3.4 million to organizations in the Tulsa area.

“Bank of America is committed to the communities which we serve, and to continue to make Tulsa a great place to live and work, we are committed to helping those less fortunate,” Lissau said.

Lissau said the grants are typically around $10,000 to $25,000 each and include nonprofits working to help people with food, shelter, education and workforce development.

“It’s solely to drive economic mobility and financial stability throughout Tulsa,” Lissau said.

Tulsa Bank of America employees were also recognized for their volunteer work in 2022 and 2023, receiving the Bank of America 2023 Global Volunteer award for achieving a 95% participation rate in volunteer events in 2022.

“There are so many fantastic philanthropic organizations in our city and so many philanthropic minded people that we’re just proud to be a part of it,” Lissau said.
