When I was a kid, I loved reading the Guinness World Record books. My mind would wonder what undiscovered talent I might posses that could land me on those pages as well. This Oklahoman goes to prove that just about any record can gain the attention of Guinness.
Guinness World Record has announced that an Owasso, Oklahoma woman official holds the title of having the largest collection of Avatar: The Last Airbender universe memorabilia. The number of items in the collection is 2,026 items, and was achieved by Jessica Carey, per their website.
Jessica shared with Guinnes World Record that she began collecting Avatar: The Last Airbender universe memorabilia at age 12, after becoming captivated by the television series and especially the character Katara.
Jessica has continued collecting throughout high school and as an adult, and says “one of the best feelings as I walk into my office is feeling so inspired by the items around me. It encourages me to work on my own art, my own storytelling, and brings me a sense of peace as I hone my craft.” She hopes to one day work for Avatar Studios.
