The City recommends applicants bring a copy of a high school transcript, diploma or GED and a valid drivers license.
FOX23 stopped by Tuesday afternoon and spoke with an organizer of the event.
“We have around 140 vacancies right now and we really just wanted to provide the community an opportunity to come into a more laid-back environment to come fill out applications and hopefully get hired,” said Katie Wilson, HR Analyst with the City of Tulsa. “Our focus today is labor and trades. Everybody that comes in fills an application and then speaks directly with an HR analyst.”
Wilson says the City is reaching out to anyone who’s willing to work.
“We want anyone who has ever been interested, anyone who feels they have a heart for public service, those are the people that we’re looking for,” Wilson said. “It’s a wonderful place to work, being involved with our community is so fulfilling and we just wanted to provide that opportunity to our community as well.”
