The Assembly to host 2024 Night to Shine for thousands of kids with special needs

TULSA, Okla. — T housands of kids with special needs will get to experience a prom night that is catered to them on Friday night.

The Assembly church will host the 2024 Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, at the Cox Business Convention Center on Friday, Feb. 9 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“It’s the largest and one of the best events we do all year, so we’re excited to be able to host it yet again,” said Justin Weaver, the Outreach Pastor for The Assembly.

Weaver said they’ve partnered with the Tim Tebow foundation to put on this event for the last nine years.

“He saw a need, a felt need, and he met that need and we decided we wanted to be a part of the magic that happens,” Weaver said.

We aver said throwing a prom for people with special needs is important.

“Gearing a prom specifically for them ensures they have that moment that so many of us got our junior or senior year, but now they get one that’s specifically created for them,” he said.
