BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Adults with developmental disabilities and or autism are preparing to deliver roses for Valentine’s Day.
They’re clients of A New Leaf, a nonprofit that helps people with developmental disabilities and or autism with job training and life skills.
Each Valentine’s Day, they prepare bouquets of roses and other flowers that they then deliver.
Katie Reiss, the Assistant Development Director at A New Leaf, said it’s one of their biggest campaigns and the clients look forward to it every year.
“Our clients look forward to this every single year, the opportunity to create these beautiful bouquets, and then they also have the opportunity to go out an deliver them in the community,” Reiss said.
Reiss said you can order the flowers online and on A New Leaf Clients will then deliver the flowers to you.
“When you order from A New Leaf, these fresh flower bouquets, your loved ones aren’t only just getting these beautiful bouquets but they’re getting an opportunity to visit with our clients,” Reiss said.
