BAPD say man accused of kidnapping and domestic violence was arrested peacefully by Broken Arrow Police

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Officers from the Broken Arrow Police Department said they were able to peacefully arrest a man accused of kidnapping and domestic violence.

Officers said Rafael Martin Sangines had been accused by a woman of holding her against her will in her apartment and beating her with an AR-15. She reported that Sangines threatened to kill her if she attempted to call for help.

According to BAPD, the woman was able to find an opportunity to run away and get help. She was found with a broken arm and damage to both of her knees.

Reportedly, Sangines had made threats that he would shoot anyone in his way in order to find the woman and said he would get in a shootout with officers if they attempted to stop him.

Officer Woods saw Sangines walk to his truck while he was observing his apartment and decided to follow Sangines.
