A dangerous high-speed chase in Oklahoma has led to the arrest of a Tulsa man, raising serious concerns about child safety and reckless driving. The incident involved extreme speeds and ended with two children being found inside the vehicle.
What Happened During the Chase
The incident took place in Pittsburg County when an officer from the Savanna Police Department spotted a car speeding on Highway 69. The vehicle was reportedly travelling at 88 mph in a 55 mph zone.
When the officer tried to stop the car, it turned onto North Street and accelerated even more. According to reports, the vehicle reached speeds of up to 100 mph in a 35 mph zone, creating a highly dangerous situation for everyone on the road.
How the Chase Ended
During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle drove under a bridge and created a large dust cloud, forcing the officer to slow down. After passing through the dust, the officer noticed headlights in a nearby field.
The officer then approached the vehicle and saw a man stepping out from the driver’s side. He was quickly taken into custody and identified as 34-year-old Jhermahnte Qwayshean Green.
