TULSA, Okla. — People in search of a new best friend came to this year’s Rescue Round-Up adoption event.
The multiday event wrapped up on Sunday with plenty of people going home with a new pet dog, specifically with a hound from the Helpless Hounds.
“It’s pretty important to get the exposure. All of our dogs are in foster homes so we don’t get to have them all together and a lot of times people want to meet multiple dogs, and so it’s difficult when they are in different foster homes across the states,” said Amity Berkley, founder of Helpless Hounds Rescue. “It’s nice to have an event like this where people can come together and interact with different dogs and see who’s going to be the best fit for them.”…
