TULSA, Okla. – Three years after the idea was floated at a meeting of the Tulsa Route 66 Commission, the plans to set a new Guinness World Record for classic car parades have been finalized, with 3,895 vehicles registered to take part so far.

The Route 66 Capital Cruise is the official kickoff for Tulsa’s recognition of the Route 66 Centennial. Several thousand cars will parade through Tulsa in a parade estimated to last at least 4 hours.
