Vancouver Fire Department Promotes Fire Safety Through Preschool Outreach Program

VANCOUVER, Wash. — The Vancouver Fire Department recently partnered with The Cardinal Pre-School at St. Joseph Catholic School to provide young students with hands-on fire safety education as part of the department’s ongoing community outreach and prevention efforts.

During the visit, firefighters engaged preschool students in interactive lessons designed to teach important fire safety skills and emergency preparedness. Children learned how and when to call 9-1-1, identify common fire hazards, understand the importance of smoke alarms, and respond appropriately during an emergency.
