PORTLAND, Ore. — An Ontario man has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison for transporting fentanyl from Portland to Malheur County, federal prosecutors announced.
Joe Luis Parras Jr., 43, was sentenced Tuesday to 63 months in federal prison followed by four years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon.
Court records show that investigators with the High Desert Drug Task Force (HDDTF) received information in May 2025 that Parras would be traveling from Portland to Malheur County carrying a supply of fentanyl.
