Suspect sought in Milwaukie side-swiping collision that left e-cyclist injured

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police are seeking a driver who left an e-cyclist injured after a collision in Milwaukie.

Authorities responded to a report of the crash on Southeast Harmony Road and Southeast Linwood Avenue between 11:55 a.m. and noon on Thursday, the Milwaukie Police Department revealed.

The agency said officers found an injured man on the scene, who was struck by someone in a white-colored SUV in the 6300 block of Southeast Harmony Road. According to officials, both the e-cyclist and the SUV were traveling westbound when the driver side-swiped him, causing him to fall to the ground.

MPD reported that the driver originally stopped to speak with the cyclist, then “abruptly” fled the scene before officers arrived…
