Retired Portland police officer gets 60 days jail for assaulting, stalking ex-girlfriend

OREGON CITY Ore. (KPTV) – A retired Portland Police Bureau officer was sentenced on Wednesday in Clackamas County Court to 60 days in jail for assaulting and strangling a former girlfriend, according to the district attorney’s office.

Jimmy Lee Pryce Jr., retired on May 29 after 27 years working for the PPB, and according to the Clackamas County DA’s office, this was also after he was arrested in November 2025 for assaulting his victim.

According to the DA’s office, Pryce’s former girlfriend went to a hospital where she reported the assault began as an argument, and then Pryce pushed her, dragged her across the floor, pinned her to the ground, held her down with one of his knees and strangled her.

After Pryce was arrested, he was ordered to have no contact with the victim. However, the DA’s office said Pryce contacted the woman almost daily over the phone and in person, using multiple “burner phones” he purchased to hide his actions…
