Air quality dropping east of the Cascades amid Oregon wildfires

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — While Portland sees consistent summertime weather of daytime highs in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows hovering in the upper 50s for the workweek, the big weather concern is out in central and eastern Oregon with the active wildfires impacting the air quality.

The latest check of the air quality around our region shows that areas of Harney and Malheur counties are now in the unhealthy or very unhealthy category while westerly and southwesterly winds continue to push the smoke to the east…
