He tried to stop a tow truck from taking his car — then the driver ran over his leg, $1M lawsuit says

Clenton Jenkins III was visiting a friend at a Gresham apartment complex when he spotted a tow truck driver in the process of hooking up his car.

He asked the driver to stop, but — during a heated exchange and disagreement about what Oregon law required — the driver attempted to drive off, knocking Jenkins to the ground and running over Jenkins’ foot and leg.

That’s all according to police reports and a nearly $1 million lawsuit that Jenkins filed last week against the company — Elite Towing — and its driver, Danny Closser…
