The Original Black Panther Party patrol the Virginia Beach Oceanfront

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A week after a white supremacist group marched at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, another organization took to the same streets Saturday afternoon.

The group, known as The Original Black Panther Party, was on 31st Street, walked towards the south end, and then back, speaking and showing love to everyone.

The Original Black Panther Party, led by National Leader General Mike Pain, provided this statement to 10 On Your Side.

“One thing to know about this organization….we don’t hide our faces. We firmly, loudly, and proudly stand up for what we believe in. We don’t fight racism with racism, we fight it with solidarity,” Pain said. “If you love us, it’s nothing but love extended back. We stand up for Black people, and we will continue to defend and protect our people by any means necessary.”

Pain continues, stating that they always patrol, typically in higher-crime neighborhoods.

Saturday, they chose to pivot from their typical duty and head to the Oceanfront. The Original Black Panther Party wants the people of Virginia Beach and surrounding cities to know that they do not have to be afraid or intimidated by any of the white nationalists or white supremacist groups that make their way to Virginia…
