VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Andria Jordan and her family have lived on Breck Avenue in Virginia Beach for 15 years and have seen plenty of wildlife in their backyard, but as for a bear, this was a first.
VBPD: Bear spotted at Salem Middle School
Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, family friend Elizabeth Morgan was dog sitting when she heard a noise in the backyard.
“I’m getting my stuff together, and I saw a shadow,” Morgan said. “I was about to take a shower. I saw a shadow go by. So, I kind of step back. It’s like, is there like, a man in the yard or whatever?”
She went to the window. There was no man, but there was a bear reaching for the bird feeder…
