HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY)- The Annual Commissioners & Cans initiative is returning for its eighth year. The Hampton Roads Commissioners of the Revenue Association is again participating in the statewide food drive.
The annual campaign brings together Commissioners of the Revenue, food banks, businesses, and community partners across the Commonwealth to help fight food insecurity while supporting local families in every participating community.
“Commissioners & Cans is about showing our commitment to constituents and communities,” President of the Hampton Roads Commissioners of the Revenue, and Commissioner of the Revenue for the City of Chesapeake, Victoria Proffitt said. “Each year, Commissioners of the Revenue across Virginia come together with food banks, businesses, and community partners to make a real difference for families facing food insecurity.
