CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)- A warning for drivers from Chesapeake police: Beginning Monday, August 24, 2026, the first school zone camera will be active on Kempsville Road for the start of Greenbrier Christian Academy’s school year.
The rest of the cameras will be active at the start of the Chesapeake Public Schools school year on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Signage warning drivers about photo enforcement is marked at each zone and you can find a list of active cameras at the City of Chesapeake’s website.
