Mark Thompson purchased his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 3445 Western Branch Boulevard.

After he scratched the Mega Money Multiplier ticket and discovered he won $500,000, he returned to the store for confirmation. He showed the store owner, who told him he had won the game’s top prize.

“I knew I’d won, but I just wanted someone else’s eyes on it,” Thompson told Lottery officials.

His winning ticket was the final top prize claimed in Mega Money Multiplier game #2245. This means that game is now closed.

The chances of winning the top prize in this game were 1 in 816,000.
