Police: Man accused of deadly Rally’s shooting turns himself in

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police have arrested the man accused of killing a 17-year-old at a fast-food restaurant last year.

Elijah James-Sanders turned himself into police Monday morning at the Pat G. Minetti Public Safety Building.

James-Sanders allegedly shot and killed Brian Fullerton after a fight at the Rally’s on Mercury Boulevard in November 2023.

He has been charged with one count each of 2nd degree murder, burglary with the intent to commit assault, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, discharging an firearm in an occupied building, and wearing a mask in public.
