VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police identified the third suspect in connection to the April 11 shooting on Atlantic Avenue that left eight people injured.
Final suspect arrested in connection with Virginia Beach Oceanfront shooting
Ja’Quarrias Morris, 20, was arrested Thursday and charged with seven counts of aggravated malicious wounding, seven counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and seven counts of reckless handling of a firearm with injury.
On April 11, officers patrolling the Oceanfront responded to the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue for sounds of gunfire along with a ShotSpotter Activation at approximately 9:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located eight individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to a local hospital with injuries ranging from non-life threatening to serious, but are all expected to survive…
