NORFOLK, Va. — A death investigation is underway after a body was found floating in the Elizabeth River on Monday morning, Norfolk police said.
Investigators said that around 9:45 a.m., first responders were alerted about a possible body floating in the river, near the Campostella Bridge. Police Harbor Patrol units responded to the scene, where they recovered the body of a man. Medics pronounced him dead upon returning to the shore.
