Police search for man who stabbed dog in DC

WASHINGTON — An investigation is underway after a dog was stabbed in D.C. over the weekend. Police are asking for the public’s help to find the person responsible.

According to a DC Police incident report, sixth district officers were called to the 2300 block of Nicholson Street, Southeast, just before 9:30 a.m. for an anonymous report of a man stabbing a dog. When they arrived, officers found the dog injured but did not find the suspect. Officers searched the area, but did not find anyone. The incident report describes the dog as a gray and white pit bull.

The injured dog was taken to Brandywine Valley SPCA for treatment. The dog’s current condition is not known. It is unclear what led up to the dog being stabbed or how many times the dog was wounded…
