SILVER SPRING, Md. — A St. Mary’s County man was arrested after police reported he activated red and blue emergency lights on a privately owned car and attempted to pull over a Montgomery County police officer in downtown Silver Spring.
Melvin Andrew Pinkney Jr., 42, of California, Maryland, was charged with impersonating a police officer following the June 15, 2026, incident.
