WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was found guilty of murder on Tuesday after an argument over a barbecue grill ended in a deadly shooting, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for D.C.
Irv Duff, 35, was charged with second-degree murder while armed, assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to court documents, the charges stem from an Aug. 2023 incident where 26-year-old Darnell Gibson was shot and killed during an argument.
