Maryland driver arrested on DWI and multiple drug charges after Kinston traffic stop

KINSTON, Lenoir County — A Maryland man is facing several felony drug charges and a DWI after a traffic stop in Kinston on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Kinston Police Department, 65-year-old Juan Hernandez of Beltsville, Maryland, is charged with driving while impaired, felony maintaining a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.
