WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police have announced an arrest in a first-degree murder investigation that occurred back in May.
On May 24, around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the report of an unconscious person in the 3300 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious man who was breathing despite severe injuries.
DC Fire and EMS responded and took him to a local hospital, but he died five days later on May 29. An autopsy determined that the victim’s cause of death was blunt force injuries and ruled it a homicide.
